Class Tara in the Business World

Ray of Hope Christmas candles

Students in Class Tara are selling Christmas candles to remember the elderly who are alone at Christmas time. By selling these candles they are supporting the Irish charity, Friends of the Elderly Ireland. Friends of the Elderly Ireland are a volunteer based charity that alleviates social isolation and loneliness amongst older people through friendship. By lighting one of their candles you are remembering an elderly person who is alone at Christmas time. They come in a range of sizes, colours and scents. The candles are in a range of different prices, depending on the sizes, ranging from €2 to €6. There is a Facebook and a Twitter page. The Facebook page is Ray of Hope and our Twitter page is @charity_candles / Ray of Hope.

Class Tara students are selling 100% environmentally friendly silicone wristbands in two different designs. Their first design says "Loreto Girl" on a maroon band with a grey swirl. The second design has the words "Live, Laugh, Love"  on a purple band with a black swirl. Both designs have a debossed, colour fill print in white. From the second design, a percentage of the profits will be donated to the charity CRY. The wristbands are going to be sold for €2 each. Their twitter is @Band_it__

Christmas Enterprise Fair

This Sunday the 8th of December there will be a Christmas Enterprise Fair in Navan Community Centre, Trimgate Street. It's starting at 11:30 am and finishes at 4:00pm. All proceeds raised on the day are going towards the Trocaire Philippines Appeal. There will be Mini Companies from around the county attending and selling their products, so come and help out the young entrepreneurs of the county. A guaranteed fun day out for the family with a much needed dose of Christmas cheer!
